A couple days ago, I started seriously thinking about starting my own graphic design company. I’ve recently gotten back into making graphics - thanks to all the fitblurs I follow! haha - and it got me thinking. I did web/graphic design as a hobby for years and have always wanted to venture into seeing if I could make a profit off any of my work.

Not even a week after talking to my significant other & colleagues about the idea, a different colleague - who wasn’t involved in the convo - came up to me and asked me if I could create a brochure and flyer for his company! 

I’m so excited to get started! He even asked how much I would charge… I’m still trying to decide if I even want to charge him, or just do it for free so I can start building a portfolio. Hmmm…. 

Now I just have to think of a company name. And all that other business stuff to go along with it. Well, what’s needed for a little side business, anyway. :)

I think this could be a wonderful adventure. I’m currently in Sales/Marketing, have broadcasting/promotions/copywriting experience, which would definitely come in handy. 

If anyone has any tips/advice/ideas as to how to get started, it would be greatly appreciated! Also, if anyone wants any work done, I’m building a portfolio and would be happy to see if I could work some magic for you!
